Patrick Maada Ngegba

Plant Pathologist 
Mr. Ngegba specializes in Crop Protection with emphasize in Plant Pathology and is presently the Acting Officer-In-Charge Kabala Horticultural Crops Center (KHCRC). Mr. Ngegba studied Bachelor of Science with Crop Protection at Njala University, followed by a Master of Agriculture in Crop Protection at the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria.
Mr. Ngegba joined the Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI) and attached at the Kabala Horticultural Crops Research Center (KHCRC) in 2012 as a Research Assistant in Crop Protection and later promoted as Research Officer II. He is part of Technical Working Group on assessment of Fall Army Worm (FAW) in Sierra Leone, implemented by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) and Boosting Agriculture and Food Security (BAFS) project; funded by the European Union (EU). He is part of the committee that have developed and validated the National strategic action plan to combat cassava viral disease for sustainable food security, submitted to West Africa Virus Epidemiology for funding, 2019. Also, Technical Working Group on Development and Validation of National Quarantine Pests, Weeds and Diseases List, 2019 founded by CORAF/ECOWAS.
